Hadiths sur les douze Califes

Le Muhhadith Hanafite Indien, le célèbre et légendaire Wali Allah Al Dahlawi (qu’Allah lui fasse miséricorde) sur les 12 Califes cités dans les ahadith (les Imams)

« Le Faqir (le novice) doit savoir ceci, les 12 Imams ont la place de Pôle du monde (Qutb), et la voie du Soufisme est née durant leur vie.

Mais toutes les croyances et la shari’ah est limitée aux hadiths du Prophète (sawas). Ils (les 12 imams) accomplissent l’ordre (amr) du Califat Spirituel (Qutbiyya) qui n’est pas concerné par les problèmes de la shari’ah (inhérents au califat temporel).

Et au regard de leur Califat spirituel chacun d’entre eux A UNE INDICATION ET UN TEXTE (Nass) pour leur successeur.

Quant aux affaires de l’Imamat comme ils disent (les chi’ites) ceci réfère a leur place de Pôle central du monde (Qutbiyyah) »

2223. Simak bin Harb narrated from Jabir bin Samurah who said “The Messenger of Allah sawas said: ‘There will be twelve Amir after me.’” He said: “Then he said something that I did not understand. So I asked the one who was next to me, who said that he sawas had said: ‘All of them are from Quraish.’” (Sahïh)

3781. It was narrated that Masrooq said: We were sitting with ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ood and he was teaching us the Qur’an. A man said to him: O Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman, did you ask the Messenger of Allah (sawas) how many caliphs this ummah would have? ‘Abdullah said: Nobody has asked me about that before you, since I came to Iraq, Then he said: Yes, we asked the Messenger of Allah (sawas) (about that) and he said: « Twelve, like the number of the leaders of the Children of Israël. »

Sanad : Mohammad Ibn al-Mouthannâ (Aboû Moûsâ al-‘Anazî az-Zaman) m’a rapporté que Ghoundar (Mohammad Ibn Ja‘far al-Houdhalî al-Basrî) nous a rapporté que Chou‘ba (Ibn al-Hajjâj al-Wâsitî al-Basrî) nous a rapporté selon ‘Abd al-Malik (Ibn ‘Oumayr al-Qourachî al-Koûfî) qui dit : j’ai entendu Jâbir Ibn Samoura (Ibn Jounâda)dire :
Matn : J’entendis le Prophète (sawas) dire : « Il y aura douze émirs ». Puis il ajouta un mot que je ne pus bien entendre. Mon père (Samoura Ibn Jounâda) dit que le Prophète (sawas) avait dit : « Ils seront tous qouraychites ».

Sahih Muslim – Edition Darussalam – Volume 5 – Hadith 4705 page 145

[4705] 5 – (1821) It was narrated that Jâbir bin Samurah said: “I entered upon the Prophet sawas with my father, and I heard him say: ‘This matter will not end until there have been among them twelve caliphs.’ Then he said something that I could not hear, and I said to my father: ‘What did he say?’ He said: ‘All of them will be from the Quraish.’”

Sahih Muslim – Edition Darussalam – Volume 5 – Hadiths 4706, 4707 pages 145, 146

[4706] 6 – (…) It was narrated that Jâbir bin Samurah said: “I heard the Prophet sawas say: ‘The people’s affairs will go well so long as they are governed by twelve men.’ Then the Prophet sawas said something that I did not hear, and I asked my father: ‘What did the Messenger of Allah sawas say?’ He said: ‘All of them will be from the Quraish.’”

[4707] (…) This Hadîth was narrated from Jâbir bin Samurah (similar to no. 4706) from the Prophet sawas, but he did not mention (the words) “The people’s affairs will go well.”

[4708] 7 – (…) It was narrated that Simâk bin Harb said: I heard Jâbir bin Samurah say: I heard the Messenger of Allâh sawas say: “Islam will continue to prevail through twelve caliphs.” Then he said something that I did not understand, and I said to my father: “What did he say?” He said: “All of them will be from the Quraish.”

[4709] 8 – (…) It was narrated that Jâbir bin Samurah said: “The Prophet sawas said: ‘This matter will continue to prevail until there have been twelve caliphs.’ Then he said something that I did not understand, and I said to my father: ‘What did he say?’ He said: ‘All of them will be from the Quraish.’”

[4710] 9 – (…) It was narrated that Jâbir bin Samurah said: “I went to the Messenger of Allâh sawas, and my father was with me, and I heard him say: ‘This religion will continue to prevail and be strong until there have been twelve caliphs.’ Then he said something that I could not hear because of the people’s voices. I said to my father: ‘What did he say?’ He said: ‘All of them will be from the Quraish.’”

[4711] 10 – (1822) It was narrated that ‘Amir bin Sa‘d bin Abî Waqqâs said: I sent a letter to Jâbir bin Samurah with my slave Nâfi‘, saying: Tell me of something that you heard from the Messenger of Allâh sawas. He wrote back to me saying: I heard the Messenger of Allâh sawas one Friday, the day on which the Aslamî was stoned, saying: “This religion will continue until the Hour begins, or until there have been twelve caliphs over you, ail of them from the Quraish.” And I heard him say: “A small group of Muslims will conquer the white palace, the palace of Chosroes, or of the family of Chosroes.” And I heard him say:  »Just before the Hour there will be liars, so beware of them.” And I heard him say: “If Allâh
bestows something good upon one of you, let him start with himself and his family.” And I heard him say: “I will reach the Cistern ahead of you.”

[4712] (…) It was narrated from ‘Âmir bin Sa‘d that he sent word to Ibn Samurah Al-‘Adawî saying: “Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of Allâh sawas.” He said: “I heard the Messenger of Allâh say…” and he mentioned a Hadïth like that of Hâtim (no. 4711).

Sunan Abu Dawud – Edition Darussalam – Volume 4 – Hadiths 4279 page 506

4279. It was narrated from Ismâ‘il, meaning Ibn Abi Khâlid, from his father, from Jâbir bin Samurah who said: “I heard the Messenger of Allâh say: ‘This religion will continue to endure until there have been twelve Khalïfah ruling over you, all of whom are agreed upon by the Ummah.” Then I heard the Prophet sawas say something that I did not understand, and I said to my father: “What is he saying?” He said: “All of them will be from the Quraish.” (Da‘ïf)

Sunan Abu Dawud – Edition Darussalam – Volume 4 – Hadiths 4280 page 506

4280. It was narrated from Dâwud, from ‘Amir, from Jâbir bin Samurah who said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah sawas say: ‘This religion will remain strong until there have been twelve Khalïfah.’ The people said the Takbir and made noise. Then he said something in a low voice, and I said to my father: ‘O my father, what did he say?’ He said: ‘All of them will be from the Quraish.’” (Sahïh)
